I deleted my text. Have avoided connecting to the WhatsApp.

But some people only live on these forums so I guess that the Government needs to communicate with them.

Damned if they do and damned if they don't. They'll be pilloried either way. It seems they have taken the approach that it is better to be castigated for communicating with a smaller segment of society than be castigated for them dying.

In balance I'd say that I'd prefer they were informed.

Yup. The Daily Mail was screaming for lockdown for days and then when it happened said that Johnson had "plunged the country into lockdown". I swear the media set out every day to look for a new problem to highlight.
