Russia has had to check all of Moscow's metro stations, over 100 schools and some 20 shopping centres due to a spate of hoax bomb threats and nobody knows who is behind it all. The thing is that in the current climate every single call has to be treated as genuine, not one of them can be ignored.

Imagine what would happen if a group of nutters claimed to have targeted a country's international airports and major railway stations and the calls were put down as hoaxes... then a bomb went off. Now imagine a number of countries being targeted simultaneously.

For governments and their security services this is the stuff of nightmares, because it could happen. All it would take is a few throwaway second-hand phones and pre-paid SIM cards and BINGO!

There are some very strange people about, to get their kicks from this sort of thing.
I wouldn't be in their shoes if the Russians manage to get hold of them though.
