Of course the BBC is blathering on about how Japan is "urging" the UK not to leave the EU without a deal. Leading the reader to assume this is because it will damage Japanese car trade and close the factories in Swindon and Tyne & Weir.

Until you actually read the EU publication on the Japan-EU trade deal which came into force in February.

Why are they so desperate to keep us in a deal? Because they have plans to pull all that manufacturing back to Japan and ship it to the EU without tariffs. If we leave without a deal they will be Forced to keep manufacturing in the UK or face tariffs on all that business as it comes from either Japan or the EU.

Now I don't know what the balance of manufacturing is between EU and UK for the output of these factories. However you can be sure of one thing, the UK will be a MASSIVE hole in these Japanese companies earnings if we leave the EU without a deal and they do not keep the factories in the UK.

The BBC, hard at work, screwing the people of the UK to stay within the EU....

Let's get a few things clear.

Brexiteers hate the BBC, claiming that it is the mouthpiece of Remain, so the implication from the first link is that the BBC, and only the BBC, is at it again.... Well so are Reuters the Guardian the Express and Independent as well as Sky and ITN. Other (Brexiteer) media outlets are available I just cannot be arsed to link them.

What they are all doing is reporting what the Japanese foreign minister, Taro Kono, has said. The problem is that Brexiteers do not like what he said. They don't 'do' alternative opinions, experts or facts - their ideology is everything.

The second link is not the Japan-EU trade deal, as claimed. It is an opinion and partial explanation piece from The Conversation website. The real trade agreement is here: European Commission. Go knock yourselves out reading it... if you can stay awake to the very end.

Or is it Brexiteers still at it with their myths, legends, biased opinions and lies?

You bet.

Perhaps. But if you dig enough, you find that the EU/Japan trade deal is driving car jobs out of the EU.

However the news always reports it as Brexit related.

Ah well. Another few months then we can take a checkpoint again.
