I think there should be more warnings given to youngsters of the dangers of these drugs.

Legalise it by all means, but make it clear that those who choose to use these drugs will
get no help from the NHS. The 'survival of the fittest' theory springs to mind.

Medical uses no problem, but as a recreational drug no.

Skunk and spice are way too strong to be freely available.

The government may be calculating how much they could make by legalising and taxing it though!

Whatever they get in taxes the long term knock on effects will negate it.

After all, how long did it take for them to accept the costs of smoking??

True, but politicians only think in multiples of five years...

I have had an update from my local MP, or candidate, as is. He is a LibDem and gives a bit more detail.

Legalise does not mean a free-for-all. It means selling it in authorised outlets from where its strength and quality will be controlled.

Skunk and spice will not be part of the deal and no doubt all the different varieties will be in plain packages with health warnings because, as we all know, these things work.

Apart from the skunk and spice bit that last para is all TIC.

Shell, I am sure they would, but what Tim sees is the devastation caused by the illegal variants sold by criminals on the streets; the skunk and spice mentioned by Cromwell.

I am trying to get my head round why it is so wrong to try to bring this menace under some sort of control rather than leave it to the sledgehammer of it being a criminal offence to possess and use it.

Criminalising it has not worked, we all know that, people still use it, so why not accept that we have failed and look at alternative methods/strategies?
