Carers in the Dock

Postby KateLMead » 30 Mar 2016, 14:55

I am furious to read of Carers who help the Aged and the infirm are given no more than reprimands and suspended sentences and are Let Off from serving a jail sentence following stealing money from their charges, one into today's Mail stole almost £1,000.
What has happened to justice.. Every old infirm pensioner should have a camera installed on or in their properties so that those caring for them can be under surveillance. What kind of filth is employed these days to care for the aged both in their homes and in Care Homes where far too many leave a lot to be desired.

It is criminal the way the justice system treats these vermin.

The value of the goods they take or their poor attitude, including violence and lack of care, should not be the deciding factor. The fact is there is a breakdown of trust and that alone should be enough for a custodial sentence. That can then be 'topped up' when those other factors are taken into consideration.

It seems as if the worse the offence is the lighter the sentence is.
Suggest the judges and magistrates are looked after by these so called carers and see what it is like.

I am sick of the abuse still outrageously metered out on the aged, who are according to government "Responsible for all the ills in this damned country" they are, according to the Mail left to suffer alone, when dying with no attention or medication to ease their pain and passing even their families are not informed of the fact they are dying...Not too long ago I seem to remember every hospital was financially rewarded for every bed emptied on the death of an elderly patient , another word for this is "Pathway" still alive and well, sadly the patients are no longer so...
