Well yes, it needs some refinement, but as a general principle the status quo will not do. There has to be change.

I agree to that but some half assed bodge job like when Blair Knee Jerked over Dunblane will simply not do.

And the English know that.

Change will happen, and for me I hope that it is not at the the break up of the the Union. I honestly do believe that we are stronger together rather than independent countries who would sell their independence to join another union of which they would be minor players, at best.

The breakup of the Union has been pretty much certain from the beginning of the devolved parliaments. This latest stitch up bill going through parliament right now is simple proof of that. The senior party members came to Scotland and literally begged the Scots not to secede. They promised them the earth. Just not how large a part of it or how deep it would be.

In the end the Scots have got another sod from Wembly and a plaque saying "You're welcome". The keys to Scotland stay in English grasp. Oil, Taxation and Welfare spending.

In the end Scotland made it's demands on what "Powers" meant and England decided what they wanted to give. There is no doubt in my mind that when the Scots realise how insulting this whole thing really is, they will, again, go back for a referendum and this time they'll make sure they get a Yes because they'll know exactly what the other side will do and can counter it.

As for England I hope that there is not some stupid deal which gives SNP great power in Westminster. That would be a disaster in England and it should not be. Only the Scots Tories have backed away from interfering in English Only affairs but as there's only one of those, it's hardly going to make much difference...
