Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 20 Jan 2016, 08:14

Good morning. :D

It rained through the night (very much needed) and it's dull now but looks ok.

Today is a holiday (yes, another one! ) it's our town's Saint's Day - San Sebastian. Parades and merriness will be on the cards. :D

I'm meeting my school colleague as it's her 50th birthday. I bought her perfume and made a cake. :D :D

TV for me tonight and a chilli made by my resident chef.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :D

Bright and dry but we actually have frost this morning

Went to get something out of the freezer last night and found things well and truly defrosting. Managed to salvage some things which I can cook later this afternoon, but a lot of it had to be junked, sooooo annoying!!!! Tbh I'm surprised it's lasted so long, mother had it for years and it was stored unused in our garage all the time we were in the last house. Only brought it with us as a temporary thing. I've had to order a cheap under counter model (nowhere to put the fridge/freezer we want until the kitchen's done) and the earliest free delivery from AO is Sunday.

Expecting Adam the roofer any time soon, he's almost finished, just a few broken tiles to replace and a clean up. He reckons he'll be all done in just over an hour. E's very happy, he says it looks like a really good job.

Off for coffee with the ladies this morning, intend to wrap up really well, so pleased I bought my ear muffs.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning both :)

Have a good day celebrating Ally, and Happy 50th to your friend!! :D

Jen, that's annoying about the freezer :( Hope your roofer will be finished today, bet it's slippy up there!!

It's freezing here, with freezing fog and a thick frost - can't see me going anywhere until zumba tonight, it isn't walking weather :cute:  I'll find stuff to do indoors, no doubt!

Have a good day :) xxxx

Morning you three

Rather nippy this morning but I love it... sadly as of Friday we're back to the warmer damp weather apparently.

Jen, that is very annoying re the freezer; how much have you had to throw away? Would it be worth checking with your home insurance if the contents are covered?
Ally, enjoy the day of festivities and merriment and happy 50th to your friend; a lovely gift you've got for her
Kaz, hopefully the fog will lift soon and you do get to go out (if you want that is ;) )... otherwise nothing wrong with staying nice and warm and dry until you head out to Zumba. I would quite like to be home as well

Usual work day and quiet evening home for me

Have a lovely day all xx

Oooh take care Saundra, hope you enjoy seeing your visitors, big ((((((((hugs))))))))) xxxx

Aggers, take care in the frost if you go out later :)

Jen, that's a good point Ria made, will you be covered by your home contents insurance? Might be worth looking at xx

Ria, change of plan so I am going out. D sounded a bit low on the phone earlier so I'm taking some of my soup up there, she's taken some rolls out of the freezer and we're going to have lunch together :) I'll be well wrapped up and wearing my flat boots with the good grip ;) I prefer the colder dry weather to the warmer rain too :)

Stay warm everyone, if you can :)

Afternoon :)
Lovely, bright and sunny, albeit below freezing :D

The freezer could have lasted just a bit longer Jen, at least these days you can get them pretty cheap x
Such a shame Saundra, you've been so looking forward to them coming (((xx))) Hope little Scarlett cheers you up xx
I'm sure you'll both enjoy the company and the soup Kaz :)
We had only about half a bowlful left so I let Bb have it since he missed out yesterday, plus he's now in the garage sorting out a load of work stuff that has to be sent off so he needed the heat :)
Looks like he's finished, the car's back, so I'll be off - I can go to Tesco while he does the post office
