Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 19 Jan 2016, 07:40

Good morning. :D

Forecast nice again. 8-)

A quick run then popping into town to Primor - my work colleague is 50 tomorrow and I want to buy her some perfume. :D :D

Work 4 - 9. Exams this week for the higher level students. Eeeek!

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :D

Still no frost, but it's really, really cold brrrr

Adam's just arrived to work on the roof again. Really don't envy him in this weather, but he says he's used to it. All the ridges at the back and along the top are now done, he'll be tackling the front today.

Not sure what we're doing yet, need to pop out later for some more fruit and veggies.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all :)

Ally, enjoy work today, Good luck to your students taking exams :)

Jen it does look scary, doesn't it? One of my cousins used to be a roofer (he has a business fitting kitchens now) and Mick used to help his friend Doug now and again when he was young - as long as you have a head for heights you're ok ;)

Morning Cal, lovely and bright, if cold, here too :)

Well the dry weather means a nice long walk later :) B is off work now until Friday, so she might come with me :) Otherwise it's just housework to be done.

Have a good day all :) xx

Morning all

A very nippy start to the day today as well Cal. I put the cover over the car last night which really made a difference this morning, no scraping ice needed at all
Good luck to the students Ally - I'm sure they'll all do super well x
Jen, I don't envy the roofer having to work outside.... brrrrrrr. Lots of warming mugs of tea needed I think :)
Kaz, enjoy your walk, these cold crisp sunny days are perfect for them

Usual work day for me followed by a quiet evening at home, it's too cold to go anywhere  (besides which no money to go out) ;)

Have a lovely day all x

We've been keeping him well supplied with mugs of tea Ria. Mind you I can't help wondering how he manages to go so long without asking to use the loo, he waited right through until well gone 3pm yesterday :o

Morning :)
Gosh it's lovely! Very, very cold but without that awful wind, what a treat :D

Just the thought of exams brings me out in a cold sweat Ally :o Good luck to them, I'm sure they'll do brilliantly :)

Bb's out working, he gets the opposite problem really when it's cold - he needs a nice thick jumper and coat as he spends a fair bit of time walking, then is often stuck in peoples' flats or houses with tropical temperatures and them dressed in t-shirts
He knows what he's in for when his glasses steam up as he steps inside :D

Glad I saved going out, yesterday was so miserable, I'm now ready and happy for a good stomp around, so am off up to the village and into town :)
Have a good day all

Afternoon all, dull and damp here but not terribly cold. We've been for a walk and shortly will be heading off to see The Lady in the Van - it will be Mr Osc's first experience of Silver Cinema where oldies like us get a film, plus tea and bikkies, all for the princely sum of €3 each  , so there is some small advantage to advancing years! Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Good afternoon all.

I've been to the opticians in town this morning for a check-up for optical degeneration,
which involved having drops in my eyes to enlarge the pupils. I was so pleased that they
could find nothing wrong, but I have now been given a twice-weekly check to carry out.
Apparently, at my age, they expect some deterioration, but, so far, I have been lucky.
(I'm glad they didn't ask me about my other bits and pieces.)

Hope you are all well and enjoying this bit of normal seasonal weather.

Take care,
Aggers

That's good Aggers! 8-) :)

We had a lovely walk, so sunny :D Bitter cold but we were well wrapped up and went straight into the café at Sainsbury's for a hot drink  :cute:

Di, hope you enjoy your sunny walk as much as I did :D

Jen he must have a bladder like a camel   D reckons she developed one of those when she was district nursing ;)

Ria, far better off indoors on these cold nights, nice and cosy ;)
