Morning Ally
Enjoy your day of kings.
Our decorations are still up, and will be as thyare in Auckland and we are in Raglan.
Beautiful weather. Spent all morning at the beach, and mooches around town this afternoon. Wore the kids out, they were asleep in seconds tonight.

Fishing tomorrow, hopefully we catch dinner, else it's sausages

Have a good day all. (Fingers crossed this posts. I only have one bar of service)

Enjoy your special day Ally :) xx

Morning Weka :) Oh for some sunshine - your day sounds like heaven :) I hope S is well enough to be enjoying the holidays fully, and that you have a fantastic time! :D :D

It's barely daylight here yet, but it looks to be damp and warmish again - we so need some dry, cold, sunny days to dry everything up properly. No real plans for today, apart from zumba tonight. Mick has just left to catch a train to Swindon for work, Becks will leaving shortly for her shift at work - I might walk up to see D this afternoon, if it doesn't rain heavily, but if I don't there is always something here that needs doing

Have a good day everyone, hope all the poorlies are feeling better :) xxxx

Morning all :D

Bright and dry here at the moment :D

Well back to normal, I'm off for coffee with the ladies this morning, haven't done a Wed coffee morning since before Christmas. Afterwards I'll take the bus and meet E. Need to pick up our prescriptions and get more fresh veggies for dinner tonight. If the weather stays like this I expect we'll have a stroll around the harbour too.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all

We had a very very misty start to the day; not my favourite conditions to be driving in, esp on the narrow back country roads, but they're doing major gas works on the other (main) road so I avoid that as much as I can... Kaz I'm with you on the dry cold sunny days; we really do need them. I was just watching a female blackbird (or may have been a thrush?) with a piece of plastic in her mouth that she'd gathered up for nest building... it's just far to early for them to even contemplate doing that. We potentially have three very cold months ahead of us and that's going to kill so many young animals :( Guess I'll be stocking up on loads of bird food just in case to make sure we help out as much as we can should the need arise. As long as parents can find food then hopefully the little ones will be fine regardless of temperatures

Ally, enjoy the holiday today - did Papa Noel put something in your shoe last night?
Weka, happy fishing tomorrow / today - hope you catch something tasty
Jen, enjoy your mooch around town
Saundra, hope the prescription is delivered on time and you have a good day

Have a lovely day all xxx

Afternoon :)
Amazingly, we have had hardly any rain today - so far :D

Bb wasn't working so we went into town for a while - I'd been waiting for a dry day for him to come with me ;)
Got rid of a pile of books to the charity shop (needed him to help carry those), had a bit of a walk around, then the joys of Tesco and W/rose.
Not a lot from either, just cherry-picking the offers - W/rose have a load of items half price at the moment.
We're now nicely stocked with baked beans, tinned tomatoes and rice noodles - not on an Ossie scale mind, stocked up to me means one 4-pack of each of the tins and two packs of noodles :D
Big tubs of peanuts now reduced to 50p too ;) :Hi:

Good buys there Di :D It stopped raining here too and has been dry and a bit colder - excellent, and long may it continue!! :D I walked up to see D and we shared a carton of Covent Garden soup for lunch, so have earned my Fit Points for the day already under the new WW regime   Zumba tonight will really ace it  :)
