Got a busy day planned.

Shopping this morning then back to make lemon cup cakes and mini chocolate muffins.

At 10pm tonight we're heading off to Pedro's with Conor and David to see the New Year in.

The bar is only a minute's walk from the church so at midnight we'll gather outside it, eat a grape and have a sip of cava with each chime.

Then back to Pedro's to carry on partying.

that sounds like a lovely tradition Ally, enjoy. Not sure what I'll be up to tonight, suspect it'll be absolutely nothing. Usually I meet up with Karl and Nadine, we have a very simple dinner together and then I either hang around to see in the New Year or head home before the roads get busy / unsafe - or we head over to friends. But Nadine is only just getting over her tummy bug so I (understandably) suspect they won't be doing anything which in turn means I think I'll be getting myself a very nice dinner and then having a quiet evening in

Today though I'm off to the vet with two of the cats for their vaccinations and then finally that mooch around the shops. Bought some Oxtail that I'll get into the slow cooker to freeze for work and that's my day done.

Ria, it will be the same here, just another evening I love my husband but he is turning into an old hermit and never wants to go anywhere! I think next year I must arrange something and insist!

Food shopping on the cards here, as they will be shut tomorrow and we have my sister and her crew visiting on Saturday, for the weekend. Becks will come with me and Mick will pick us up when we're finished, at lunchtime, as he's back at his desk today!

After brekkie we'll be off to the shops for some fresh veggies and a stroll around the harbour is a must.

Morning all, it's damp out there. I am feeling much better today thank goodness. We have nothing planned for today, but I need to go to the chemist and post office plus there is also the matter of the usual ironing pile awaiting my attention. This evening we might manage to stay up until midnight - or not , we are never bothered about it - if we are out, that's fine, but otherwise just as happy to be at home. Have a good day everyone

Evening all - and I'll wish everyone a Happy New Year now as I doubt I'll get here after now till tomorrow.....IYSWIM!!

We should have been at York for tonight, and last night, but of course not now. Instead we had a quiet day yesterday, I got my ear syringed (yayy!) and then Lewis came to stay,..unplanned of course but we had a lovely time with him, we went to MaccyDs last night and then watched a DVD altogether before he went to bed. He slept really well, no peeps from him until about half seven this morning! Then after we were up and dressed, we went to the beach so he and Tom could have a kick about, and also a spot of lunch. The weather was lovely, cold crisp and sunny, we even sat outside to eat! Dropped him home on the way back and now Jen has gone to work and T and I finally have some time alone for a few hours!! I think we'll get a takeout, but he's picking J up from work at 11.30, just in time to get home for midnight!

I'm not normally a big fan of NYE, too many fireworks for a start (the dogs are going up to the farm soon for overnight so they will be away from the bangs!) so I have no problem with staying home
