That was a nice day!

We headed off into town today with no particular plan other than to have lunch somewhere, and I needed to buy a couple of things. Of course all the restaurants were very busy, as we knew they would be, but it always works out as indeed it did today. We paid our annual visit to Brown Thomas which would be Dublin's Harrods, and saw that queue for their restaurant didn't seem too long so we said we would join it and see what happened - after a few minutes the guy came along the queue and said he could fast track two people if they would like to eat at the bar, otherwise it would be 30-40 minutes for a table. We jumped at the chance and had a lovely lunch, while we were sitting there my sister passed by and saw us so popped in to say hello. She then bumped into Miss Osc and family and told them where we were, so they popped in to say hello too, Michael was so excited to see us unexpectedly!
I had of course checked us in on FB and a friend replied that they were in a nearby pub, so when we were finished we joined them, and another couple came along a while later and we had good fun. On the train home we met another couple we know, had a good chat with them on the way - all in all, a nice sociable Christmas Eve just by going with the flow. We have been sitiing here enjoying our first Christmas Eve in the house - Ton, you will know that lovely feeling next year.
