I don't do stress normally

But my levels of anguish have been rather high today.
We were supposed to have an independent translater at the notary earlier, as we're furriners, but we got around that. We understood most of what he said, just a bit quick in some places.
We got our grubby little mitts on the cheque, took it down to the bank and asked for our next one. Next Tuesday he said
Whaaaaaaaaaattttttt
The daft bank manager had put the wrong date on the form.
Then, he noticed that the cheque wasn't the right one and would take 2 working days to clear.
Now, bear in mind, we're going to Ourique tomorrow, for 10.30 to sign the final deed for our new house.
So, with a flurry of phone calls, e-mails and me going spare, slightly, we've arranged to go up to Castro Verde, which has the nearest branch of our bank, for 8.30 - 9.00 tomorrow morning, to collect the cheque for 99,000€
So I sent an e-mail to Carla to tell her about the problem, not that it's hers any more but also to Tom,. the other agent.
He then calls me back and says the cheque should have been for 94,000€ with a cash lump sum of 5,000€
NOW he tells me.
Grumpy is livid, I'm thinking, oh sod it and then he rings back to say the notary has washed his hands of the situation and the cheque will remain at 99,000€
Comes to something when the most dodgy notary/lawyer in the areas thinks what the owners are doing is wrong.
Just when we thought things were going well.
