"Thou shalt not covet ....

.... the Christmas Pork Pie!"

Mrs O says she is considering installing CCTV in the kitchen and an alarm system around the fridge to stop marauding bands of Ostriches eyeing up the platter. :x

She says it is most disconcerting when she's washing up at the sink and an Ostrich suddenly pops up and stares through the window blinds at her ......

The Ostrich, on the other hand, is wondering when Christmas will be declared open. :(

Be honest - have you eaten any treats yet? :)

No, nothing - never do :)
I don't buy loads, and usually have a rough plan of what's for which meal.
Haven't done that yet, since it's just us till Sunday and the shops will be open so I can decide later :)
We do have an open box of mince pies, but they weren't bought to save, no-one ever eats them at Christmas ;)

I shall have to go on sausage roll watch once they're made though ;) :)

I've had the chocolates from the advent calendar (still got yesterday's and today's to eat) and some chocolates that we've had in the kitchen here at work; but that's it....

Christmas this year is going to a bit more of a rush day that I'd have liked - the chap who arranges our payroll was on holiday all of last week and there was an ongoing discussion about bonus's to be had or not (thankfully they're to be had!) which delayed matters even more which basically means we don't get paid until Thursday morning. Usually it's always the Friday / a week before Christmas which then gives time to do whatever shopping is needed, but this time round it's cutting it very fine.

On the plus side - it does mean there isn't a vast amount of food in the house as I don't have any ostriches lingering to eat the goods; and I'd end up eating it all myself

Well I opened the tin of Celebrations last night for H and Mick, and when we got in this afternoon opened the pack of Shortbread that D bought us back from Scotland in October which I've saved since then, to have one with a cuppa ;)

Oh and Mick's just had a mincey spy ;)
