We landed at 1.30 yesterday (and boy was it nice to walk into the heat again ) and I was at work by 3.30.

Washing on the go now and looking forward to spending a lovely day at home.

It's been a mad busy few days and I've not been on the boards so hopefully everyone is well. x

Going to a meeting in Preston this morning and then having lunch. No rain yet but it is forecast for here later.

That's what we really noticed Kaz - the constant grey sky.

It never actually rained...just drizzled.

The only time we caught a glimpse of blue sky was on the train back from Nottingham.

To get off the plane and feel the heat was bliss.

We have become sunshine wussies.

Kaz, we've been quite dry this part of the UK; but as Ally says - constant grey; which really is quite normal for this time of year isn't it, but still... and it's been really warm. Apparently going to start getting towards the end of next week though

usual work day for me, then going by Karl and Nadine's after work. Was meant to go yesterday but the trains were playing up so I went straight home.

Today will be spent sorting general stuff out, transferring money etc and then we also need to get another form from Finances in Olhao. But no great rush. And a little gentle packing will take place today

Not good nights sleep for either of us, so maybe a nap this afternoon

Morning all

Our drive back yesterday was really good, makes a lovely change for both journeys to go so well. Altogether we had a good trip, enjoyed our day with M, she's looking tired but feeling much better, still waiting for her 'urgent' appointment though!! Mother was happy to see us, even said my name as we arrived which she hasn't done for quite a while. Also managed to pop in to see my aunt and uncle who were quite cheerful. Best of all E got the all clear and we can relax again for another three months

Off out for coffee with the ladies this morning and that's about it for today.
