That was yesterday WM.

And yes, thank you, we're fine.

Not so Faro, Olhao, Albuferia and Quarteria. So mostly the west Algarve.

The clear up started today and bluddy hell, what a mess the mud made.

We only had one fence panel down, although the wind is supposed to come back tonight. That I can cope with, but that rain - torrential, for hours, hence all the flooding.

As we were walking back up from the village earlier, we were stopped by a lot of people and told to get inside, as the rain and wind were coming back.

So far, not too bad.

But thank you xx

All calm again now - weirdy weather.

But we're above the village, so will be okay - the fire brigade were out and about in the village yesterday and today, pumping out some of the low lying houses. Poor people.

There is a lot to be said for buying a house half way up a hill. Glad you are all safe.

Thank you all xx

And yes, the house we'd like to buy is called a Monte, and it's on it's own hill.

there is that, but then you're also at a higher risk of landslides etc... regardless of where you live; mother nature can be incredibly ruthless and vicious.
