Thank you ebay!

Postby Osc » 27 Oct 2015, 22:25

Earlier in the year, I won a hair removal system in a raffle, brand new, still in the original wrapping. I knew I would never use it so decided to put it on ebay. I got €90 for it which has been sitting in my Paypal account. Today we decided we would like a lamp in our living room so I started looking online, as you do ;) We have a lovely Belleek lamp which Mr Osc won years ago playing golf which I have always loved. So I just casually looked on their site this evening, never imagining for one minute that we could afford any of them, even though I love Belleek. Found this one, on offer for €59.95 postage free, and saw you could pay through Paypal - then I remembered the €90 sitting in the account :D :D :D A few clicks later .......

Belleek is a very well known Irish brand...over the years it was heavily aimed at the American market with lots of shamrocks on it (bleurgh) but has always had some nice simple pieces which were expensive.

Frank, I ordered it from the Irish site with prices in euro, but oddly enough when I went back in to get the link, the prices were in sterling :? - they are based in Co. Fermanagh so you might expect sterling, but I definitely saw and bought it on an official site where the price was in euro.....
