Good morning Ally - and those yet to arrive.

It's breezy, dull and cool here. I won't be going far today.

Hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

Morning everyone

Gorgeous morning :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Just had a long skype with Julia and cannot believe that Oliver and Charlie look so alike - twins ain't in it    He's not sleeping so well at the moment, so they're off to Devon next week for a few days - that fresh air will sort him out

Pootling morning for us too - more washing to be done and a tidy up, now everything is dry outside.

Have a great day everyone, whatever you're doing. Continued hugs and vibes for Jen and family xx

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast here today

The journey to Z's was awful, it was raining quite heavily so we had lots of spray and at one point in the journey heavy mist with very little visibility. Must say we were both amazed to see just how big the boot is, no wonder she's struggling, it weighs a ton. Apparently they rarely use them for people who have to stay off the foot because of the weight, but the surgeon insisted as it's imperative to keep her foot absolutely still while the ligament heals. It's as much as she can do to get into the loo on the crutches. Because she has to keep her foot up above heart level she's pretty much stuck in bed for the next fortnight, means injecting herself daily with anti blood clotting stuff too. She's obviously in pain so taking meds all the time, always makes you feel worse I think. She was more than happy to see us, not to mention the nice soup and bread I took along for lunch. M's working from home the rest of this week on hols next week so she'll be looked after. It's just fingers crossed everything heals properly now.

I'll pop an update about eldest daughter on the health board.

The plumber who did our bathroom is not answering his phone so we've had to accept it's not likely he means to return and fix the loo. We've managed to find someone else who can sort things out and although it means spending a bit more money which really grates, we just want it finished once and for all. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses and move on. Steve's just arrived so fingers crossed it's all fixed today.

Hope you all have a good day :D

  Ria. The temps might still be hot but the water is now officially cold.
A couple of years ago we swam till mid November  - but that was only because we dared each other to see who would last the longest. We had to call a truce.

Morning all :)

Jen, what a time your family is having! :( Both daughters poorly at the same time :( Poor Z, that boot sounds horrid, as does staying in bed and having injections :? :( Hopefully it will all be worth it when it heals correctly xxxxxx

Ton, isn't Skype a marvel? I'm using it regularly now to talk to my cousin Z in Germany, much nicer than email and cheaper than the phone! :D 8-)

Up late again here, the dogs are a lot quieter in the mornings without Mick here, which is odd but there you go!   I've a few chores to get done, then I might venture out later, unless it pours ;)

Have a good day everyone :) xxxx

Morning :)
Quite dull here but it's dry and breezy, and not too cold.

Hard work Jen, hopefully worth it and thank goodness Z's husband can take the time off x
Ton yes that Devon air should knock them all out nicely :D

Bb's not working today - he can only take local jobs - which is handy as we need shopping. No good going till after lunch though, they're re-surfacing the smaller of the two car parks behind the little Tesco in town and they both get pretty well full in the mornings anyway.
Other than that, not a lot - I was just about getting over the holiday/washing etc and then had my jab so as usual am all behind.
