A swim, breakfast then taking the car for its ITV. That takes a few hours so I'll jump on the train to La Colina and meet mum and dad for lunch.

I'm off out to coffee this morning and the bathroom flooring peeps will be here this afternoon. Will be nice not looking at dodgy floor boards.

Thick fog here although it is slowly clearing

As soon as it's a bit clearer,we're off to Tavira, to do stuff in the little house we look after, then a visit to the charity shop for books then stop at Aldi'«s on the way back.

Hoping to see Alexandra's cousin later, if not, I'll pop down to see the estate agent in the village and get him to clarify the agreement for me.

Another beautiful one here, even colder though!
Had a lovely lunch yesterday (more fish!), friend D is okayish but only walking with great difficulty and a stick. Fortunately friend J is happy driving her car so was going to be driving them home.

Can we have a pic or two once the floor's all done Jen?

I could love a wander round Tavira too...
Instead I have more of the delights of washing - some of the wintery stuff that was packed away, how do you get it to not smell a bit funny even though you wash it before you pack it away?
Other than that trying not to panic at the amount of 'stuff' that needs doing

Only local, no motorways, small jobs

Usual work day for me - a beauful sunny day again; but rather nippy this morning. Had to scrape ice off the car windscreen - first of the season and sadly probably the first of many frosty mornings to come given Send (where I live) is in a dip and therefore a bit of a frost pocket)

Di, I honestly don't think there is any way of stopping the clothing from smelling a bit musty if it's been packed away. I keep all my stuff in my wardrobe so it's regularly opened and things taken in and out and even then, things that haven't been worn for a while have a certain smell and get washed before wearing.
Ally good luck with the car and enjoy the time with the parents
Ton hope you get that contract sorted - stick to your guns!

Good morning everybody,
Operation to remove the cataract on my left eye has been successful. I was the last one to be done on Monday afternoon so it was after 6.00 p.m when I got home. Not as much pain as last time in July.
Just pottering today as I am not going out till Saturday. No driving for at least two weeks.

Tried to post yesterday but the wifi here dips in and out so quickly that I kept losing it

It's just gorgeous here and the weather so much better than forecast I think we've been really lucky

Had a fab walk round Corfu Town yesterday there and back on the bus bought a few pressies and had a drink and a people watch at the Black Cat cafe just on the edge of the old Jewish quarter. Then a bus ride back , the driver was smoking talking to the ticket collector and so laid back as to be almost horizontal which was hilarious Then an afternoon by the sea water pool which actually wasn't TOO freezing once you got used to it
