Oh that's interesting that you've had yours, MM - I enquired about 10 days ago down our surgery and they were totally disinterested in the topic. Usually they are trumpeting about getting everyone to roll up for mass clinics. I'll have to have another go at them .....
Hope your arm recovers soon!

That's surprising MM, we had ours done on Saturday and neither of us have had a sore arm. To be fair we don't normally have a problem, but we do tend to feel a bit sore and tender for a day or two, this year nothing. Not complaining though.........

Jen, last year I had a very angry red lump at the site, but this year you can't see anything, but blimey it aches.
I suppose it is down to the person giving it too.
I never have any other problems.

if you're both in general good health, not asthmatic or prone to chest infections then I agree, no need for it - but I know of people (my nephew and sister-in-law being two) who have the flu jab every year; without it they both really suffer

We've never had the flu jab and in all the years working with the general public, the only time we ever got flu was the winter after we retired

Now I know it's a gross over-reaction
but
this is what
really annoys me about our surgery. I've already posted above that I enquired about a flu jab 10 days ago. Today I get a letter through the post:
"Dear Mr Ostrich
Flu Vaccination
According to our records you have not yet received a flu vaccination this year ....."Well no, you're quite right. I haven't. That's because you people brushed me off when I went in and asked about one
They also want my mobile number so they can send me future reminders - well they can whistle ......
Sorry about that.
Rant over. I shall go have a soothing cuppa tea!
