on the train this morning and happened to glance up as we passed the Pimlico Plumbers building and couldn't believe my eyes - they've started putting up their Christmas display.

Jeez, the clocks haven't even gone back yet and we've still got three months to go before Christmas. I know the display does take some time to put up and connect etc, but it seems they're getting earlier and earlier every year!

I think it dilutes the excitement, starting it this early :( It used to be that until Bonfire Night was out of the way, Christmas didn't get a mention - and I think that's early enough! ;)

Our office is located in an old mill (I'm really lucky as its actually a World Heritage site) and there are all sorts of different things there - office spaces that they sub let, a gift shop, a cafe, a gorgeous fabric shop, a plant shop and all other sorts of lovely shops.

The Arkwright Society (who run the mill) have their own shop that they open up every year from the beginning of September until December - a charity Christmas card shop. It is just across the yard from our office and I can see their decorations in the window and, worst of all, have been able to hear the constant playing of their Christmas music since 1st September!

Next week their big Christmas tree will go up outside their door - right opposite my office window!

I was in spotlight (big chain craft store) last week, and they had Christmas stuff on display. The shop assistant said they had got six pallets of goods delivered a week ago, four of those pallets was Christmas goods, of those for pallets three had sold already
