.... why do people walk with hunched shoulders and bowed heads?

They still get wet!

Never thought of that before.

Probably the same reason people walk with their shoulders pulled back and their faces stretched up whenever the sun shines.

It's to try to prevent the rain going down their necks, isn't it?

It's the only way you can get under the umbrella .....

But if you bend your head forward doesn't the rain go down the back of your neck?
