Thank you all so much for your good wishes and kind words xx
We got home a bit after one, it took a while to get home as poor Bb was feeling really ill so I had to stop for him to get out for 10-15 minutes (in the rain!)
He went straight to bed but I've heard him get up a few times; I have checked on him but really he's better just left alone.
They've done operation A which involves something the surgeon called heavy oil but I think may be silicone, not a gas ball, designed to hold the retina back in place.
In 5 days (next Tuesday) we have to go back, they will review it and decide if they think it's going to work or if it needs a second operation
So we still need lots of things crossed for our holiday
Three different lots of drops, 5 times a day, but he doesn't have to hold his head on the side or anything.
Hopefully he'll be feeling a lot better by tomorrow.
