Morning all :D

We have rain, light and steady, but it's definitely rain

I'm popping into town this morning to attend the coffee morning. I'll be on my own as Jill my neighbour works part time and her hours mean she went on Monday and will do the same next week. Should be fine, everyone's always very friendly, we'll see. If I get bored I can always leave a bit early and have a mooch round the shops, if it's not too wet that is.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning Ally, I love lemon drizzle ;)

Jen I hope the coffee morning goes well :)

Morning Saundra :)

Morning all :D It looks dull here too - lots of rain and storms forecast! I hope it will be better by Friday as Aunty Rose is coming for the weekend :) Harry goes back to his dad on Friday morning, after being here for almost three weeks (which has been lovely 8-) ), and Mick is picking AR up from Staines station on his way back :)

Feeling a bit silly as I thought H's new double bed was being delivered today, but it's actually next Wednesday     Still, it will be here by the time he visits next, which is the main thing 8-)

I got lots done yesterday (including windows, paintwork etc), and still had time to walk into town with Becks and Harry, pick up a few bits I needed, then walk back. Then my BiL and his family called in around 7ish - they needed to pick up a key for D's as they are staying with her for a few days and she was out at a friend's wedding. They came in for a coffee and a chat for about an hour, which was nice as we haven't seen them since their wedding at Easter :) I was tired though last night, so slept well :D

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning all.

It's fine here at the moment. We are off shopping soon.

The weather forecast for the rest of the week looks horrendous. I hope it gets better
for the weekend, as my niece and her family are coming over to England from the USA,
and are paying us a visit on Sunday. I haven't seen them for ages.

Hope you all have a nice day.

Morning all

Grey and wet this morning but apparently clearing up as the day goes by. I'm at work so it doesn't really affect me but I do feel for the poor kids on school holidays; it really hasn't been the best of weather for them :(

Aggers, that will be lovely seeing your niece and family; how long are they over for? I do hope the weather clears up for them
Kaz, LOL re the bed - did you get the room moved around already?
Ally; same as Kaz I love lemon drizzle cake - post some over this way? :P
Saundra, suspect you're one of the few with the good weather - enjoy it!
Jen, enjoy the morning - hopefully you'll enjoy this one as much as the last one and meet new friends to be?
Ton enjoy your pootle day

Have a lovely day everyone

Morning all. Gorgeous here again - the calm before the storm I think as we are forecast a months worth of a rain in a day for tomorrow/Friday.

Work for me until 2.30pm and then off to the vets with Millie for her annual booster. Then home to iron and think about packing.

Morning all, glorious day here for a change. We have someone coming to stay for a couple of nights, and my sister is coming for dinner this evening. Busy organising our stuff for Blackpool on Friday as well. Mr Osc is out cutting back part of our new (although mature) wisteria which looks a bit unwell, and doing some watering. I have the washing out since early, so it should dry very nicely in the sun.

Hope our visitor likes GBBO because she will be watching it tonight  She is one of my unofficially adopted sisters and I'm looking forward to her seeing our new home. Have a good day everyone :)

Good afternoon!

Did Asda this morning, but since then, we've been for a spin out and a pub lunch @ the "Dog and Doublet", Bodymoor Heath. We go there once or twice a year and we always call it the "Dog and Duvet" in tribute to our late lamented Chinese Crested dog, who was invariably found snoozing on any given bed ... :D

It's a fairly rough-and-ready canal-side pub with mooring points on the Birmingham & Fazeley canal, out in North Warwickshire, and was fairly busy, at least three narrowboats arrived while we were eating. We also spotted a couple of moorhens down by the lock while we were having a wander down the towpath. A good local trip out, but rather hot in the sun ....
