We have sunshine 8-)

Off out for our stroll, then back to pootle, iron and trying to think of something else to do, without being too energetic ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Sunshines!! 8-) 8-) :P Have lovely days, both of you! xxx

Good morning to the rest of us too - it's looking a bit murky here, hope it doesn't rain :? I'm going to Stroud with my mate Alison, in her little sportscar, and how can we bomb through the countryside doing our Thelma and Louise impression if we need the soft top up 'cos it's peeing down? :P

Becks is working, and H is well into his new computer game which is all about controlling huge and ancient armies, employing strategy, so he's happy

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Oooo I say, get you, travelling round the countryside in a sports car!! 8-)

Day off - hurray!!!! :D Typically I was wide awake before 7 so I am up and have showered and thrown a wash load in. House to myself today as J is working 8-) Have no plans so will just go with the flow :D

Jen and I had a great night last night!! We went to a pub quiz in the next village....only the two of us on a team (we called ourselves Fembots, LOL, fans of Austin Powers might recognise the reference  ) anyway, we got 41 points and the winners only got 45! AND there were many teams with 4 people in them.....so I think we did pretty well :D We'd had a nice meal prior to the quiz starting, and then every table got free chips to nibble whilst thinking 8-) 8-) :D I think we'll be going again :D :D

Have a good day everyone 8-)

Morning :)
Very murky here too Kaz, and been raining - that horrid ultra-fine stuff you can't even feel at first then realise you're getting wet
The forecast isn't showing any so I think they're in a parallel universe ;)

Funnily enough Ally I'd been meaning to ask if you were still going to Hairy Mary's as I hadn't noticed it mentioned lately :D
Enjoy your pootling stroll Ton, the forecast for you and Spain is no doubt right, they said it's getting hotter again :P
That sounds fun Gal, even better to nearly win :)
Have a good time Kaz, with or without roof :)

Not sure what I'm doing, but am feeling soooo much better today so will be going out sometime anyway :)
Hope you all have a good day

Morning all
Murky here as well and they did say it was going to rain this morning but then clear up. Given I'm in the office all day that's OK by me  Tube strike in London again today so loads of people walking everywhere. The greedy tube workers aren't going to stop them. Thankfully I walk from Waterloo anyway so it doesn't affect me but I really do feel for people who cannot make it in and will lose a day's pay because of the strike.

I was out last night so didn't get to see GBBO, thankfully it's lovely and quiet at work so guess what I'll be catching up on :D

Ally, have a fab day out with Don
Gal, I love pub quizz's - sadly never really have anyone to go with but once a year the local Cats Protection holds one as a fund raiser and it's always huge fun. Enjoy your day off today
Ton, enjoy whatever non energetic activity you come up with later
Kaz, hope the sun shines and you manage to do your T&L impression; that sounds like huge fun
Di, enjoy whatever it is you're going to do - did you get to the garden centre the other day?

have a lovely day all whatever it is you're up to xxx

We made it, we are in Rotorua, phew. Little miss woke with a fever still, but managed some toast, and kept it down, so we decided to come. There is family down here that can help if she got worse again, but she's definitely on the mend. You can tell, as she's back fighting with her brother.
FIL woke with a fever as well, and at 7am MIL phoned to say they weren't going, as hubby was driving their car down due to FILs macular degeneration. But as we were delaying our leaving time due to missey, he was feeling better by then too, so here we are.

Also by leaving later we managed to follow a big rain storm rather than be in it. Lots of flooded paddocks around the place, so nice not to drop in it.

Off to see geysers and mud pools tomorrow, hope the weather holds, guess who forgot the rain coats
Everything happens for a reason

Morning all :D

Glad you're feeling a lot better today Di x

I had a lovely coffee morning yesterday, they're such a friendly bunch, I'm so glad I found the group :D

We had a recommended builder come round yesterday evening to have a look at our ideas for renovation. He's gone off with copious notes so now it's fingers crossed we can get the bulk of it done within our budget. A heating/bathroom chap (highly recommended by our landlord) is due later this afternoon. We'll be getting a few quotes for all of it before making any firm decisions.

Off out to the shops for a stock up after brekkie, the boys demolished most of what was in the fridge

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all - it's not raining :D :D Had a great night last night, but I slept very badly :( Another sociable day today, getting together with two other couples, the men will play golf, the girls will walk/chat/eat and we will all meet up after the golf and see where the rest of the day takes us.

It was lovely to spend time with old friends last night and I was thinking how lucky we are to all be well and still there, as another schoolmate commented on FB, we met in 1954 (she always was a troublemaker ;) ). One of the girls has had a face lift and was talking in that slightly clipped way that happens when muscles are pulled up tight ;) We all have hugely different lives yet the years melt away whenever any of us get together.

Better go and hang out the washing before dropping himself up to the golf club. Have a good day everyone :)
