Good morning. :D

As it's forecast for the low 30's today it should be feeling less oven like. 8-)

I've had a swim and am enjoying a coffee on the terrace now where I shall sit for some time enjoying the stillness. :D :D

Don's in the UK, Jacob's in Madrid so it's Conor and myself today. Don bought a chicken the size of a small shed the other day so it's lemon & garlic small shed size chicken for us today.

Looking forward to a day of chilling out after walking miles yesterday.

Have a great day everyone. x

Morning Ally, morning Saundra :D

A damp start to the day here and it's meant to be like this all day - decidedly autumnal; can't believe this is meant to be summer. About get the bolognaise sauce on the go so it can spend a few hours in the slow cooker. Heading to a garden centre later on as I need to buy one larger plastic pot for two acers I bought some time back but that's about it really.

A bit of a cleaning to be done round the house if I get the enthusiasm, but no guarantees

Have a lovely day all - stay dry / cool (delete whichever is not applicable) and enjoy whatever it is you're up to

x

Morning all :)

Ally your plans sound good - so does the chicken ;) :)

Saundra I hope you get some sunshine for your butterfly bush ;)

It's a gloomy day today, and the forecast is rain. Eventually our day warmed up yesterday, by lunchtime the sun was out and the afternoon was warm and sunny 8-) Not the best of summers so far, is it really? Ria I agree, it does have a slight autumnal feel, especially early mornings and evenings  Enjoy your last day off work ((((x))))

Our plans are shopping this morning at Morrison's, then this afternoon I'll be putting together my presentation for my interview tomorrow. I've run my ideas past my leader, Chris, who offered her help, and she thinks they are fine, so it's just a question of pulling it all together.....Other than that we have stuff on the iplayer to watch :D Just Mick and I again today, not sure what I'm cooking, or even if I am - we might eat in Morrison's café if M fancies an all day brekkie or something ;)

Have a good day everyone :)

Morning everyone

A little cooler here too - with means I can cope with a bbq, so that's for later :D It's not so much the cooking on it - the sun hits the back garden and I don't fancy sitting there and eating afterwards - and it seems daft to bring it inside to eat :?

Sporty day for us - no, not doing it, watching the grand prix and also the men in lycra.

have as good a day as you can everyone xx Ria, enjoy your last day of freedom xx

Morning :)
Wet, wet, wet - and more wet... :(
Yes even the weatherman this morning said 'think Autumn and that's what the weather's like'
I know it's the UK, and I know it happens, but I wish we could have proper summers :D
It's lovely to hear about your sunshine Ally and Ton, and I do realise it's been too hot even for you :)

Since it's so miserable I've been sat here with another coffee before having my shower - it does make me awfully lethargic this dark and wet stuff :(
I shall jolly myself out of it once I'm all clean and sparkly :D
Hope you all manage to have a good day
x

I've just spoken to Nadine and we're giving the garden centre a skip. Given the weather I won't really be in a rush to get the plants into the pot so they can wait until next weekend and she's got enough to do at home - so a lazy slouch day for me instead with some domestic chores thrown in for good balance.

Di, according to the weatherman this morning he was saying that August should be nice and bright - not holding my breath on that one, but it would be nice. I do feel for the kids on school summer holidays at the moment - it really isn't nice for them

I'm like that too Di, on a sunny warm morning I can leap out of bed and get on with stuff happily, in this stuff I just want to crawl back under the duvet   Pouring down now and chilly with it :(

I feel for the kids too, Ria, and their parents! Entertaining kids in the holidays is a lot more expensive in bad weather  The same goes for UK holiday makers, sunny holidays are much cheaper as indoor activities tend to cost a lot :?
