What a fantastic day!!

I was out the house by 10.15 (and up at 5 to take Don to the airport) and have only just come home and it's 11pm! :o

The climb at the cathedral was absolutely fantastic - despite the temperature hitting 44 degrees :o the actual inside felt quite cool as it's all stone.

The steps up were narrow and very steep. :P

The lady tour guide was really nice and very informative (good job I speak Spanish as she was giving no concessions for me being a Guiri   )

The views were amazing - I was so close to the cathedral bells I didn't need to zoom in to take a photo.

I got back to our town about 4pm and met up with Karina - we went to her house and had an impromptu bbq. :D :D

I'm home now, going for a shower and then bed! :D :D :D :D

Will put pics on fb tomorrow. :D :D :D

A super, smashing day. :D :D

It sounds amazing Ally. Unfortunately I really don't have a head for heights, esp when steps are involved, so there is no way I'd get up that steeple. So can't wait to see the photo's instead

You day sounds perfect from start to finish (OK maybe not the bit about Don leaving, but you know what I mean :D)

Lovely Ally xx

Rather you than me though - I'm like Ria with heights ;)

I'm the same Ria, in fact probably worse. I get vertigo which disorientates me and I get very dizzy. The walkway at Cabot Circus, in Bristol, from the car park to the shops, is all glass and steel and built at an angle - I got disorientated halfway across, and felt so dizzy B had to take my arm and lead me along

Looking at my photos Ria and I don't think I've done them justice. :?

The views over Malaga itself and to the port and Med I like - but the ones showing the close proximity to the actual cathedral tower seem to look a bit 'lost'.
I think perhaps because I was so close?

*Wondering if Don will cough up for a helicopter ride*

That may be it Ally; some things have to be experienced and no amount of photos will ever convey that experience - like Niagara falls :)

I get vertigo too and fight it as hard as I can, but it only works so long as I can hold onto something.
Bridges are like that for me too Kaz, it makes me cross but I've been like it for as long as I can remember, literally.
There's a road bridge we had to walk over to get from where I first lived into town, and I can actually remember the first time I walked rather than got pushed :?

Back to the cathedral :D
It sounds wonderful Ally, lovely to know you've been right inside each time you see it :)

Yes holding on helps a bit - it's a physical thing though isn't it Di, you can steel yourself up to be as brave as anything but the brain plays silly beggars ;)
