Well, in a round about way.

She's been chosen in an inter schools sports challenge that takes place in front of the huge Tour of Britain cycle race crowd at the finishing line in Nottingham on 11 September!

Now, before you all congratulate me on having a talented cyclist in the family just remember that she hasn't joined in cycling at school for 9 weeks because of her ankle.

I'm not saying they're making up numbers or anything.........

Damned cyclists choking up the chuffing roads with their lycra and flashing LEDs.

I hope it persists it down with hail, snow, tornados, cyclones, typhoons and a plague of locusts, and that L and the lot of them get soaking wet.

She asked if I would go and watch her but no idea how practical that will be!

She has been mentioning it for a while but until she bought the letter home last night I had no idea it was for the Tour of Britain.

I can imagine that getting to the place will be a bit of a nightmare and the chances of seeing her, rather slim!
