Cataracts

Postby cruiser2 » 18 Jul 2015, 18:10

Kate,
I am going on Wednesday to have the cataract removed from my right eye.
I have spoken to several people who have had the operation and none of them have had any problems like you seem to have had..
One lady has now got ingrowing eyelashes and will have another operation soon to stop them growing. Nothing wrong with her eyesight
I don't have any difficulty reading or driving. The problem was found by my optician in February when I went for an annual eye test.

Good luck on Wednesday, cruiser. It is such a shame about the problems that Kate has had :(

My SIL has just had one eye done and doesn't seem to have had any problems. Good luck Cruiser.

Good luck cruiser, I am sure all will be well. I think poor Kate was very unfortunate, as I had never heard of anyone having problems before - including my own dear dad, many years ago now xx

I am sure you will have no problems, I seem to be the exception to the rule, every one who had them done prior to me were delighted, I had an email from the surgeon this morning following him receiving my letter., I personally will not have the other eye done, so I am now going around with one clear lense and one now short sighted prescription lense. The cost of the frame.,£30 the one lense with the £30.00 frame just under £300..good luck cruise you will be fine. It was just my bad luck I had such an experience.xxx
