Good Morning

Postby KateLMead » 18 Jul 2015, 07:25

Good morning everyone, the sun is shing and today's outlook is sunshine. I have been having a busy time painting, cataract surgery that was horrendous and agonising, I have received a profound apology from the surgeon who totally ignored my pleas to stop, following the surgery I went into post operational trauma my doctor was mortified to learn that he had two hefty male nurses holding my ankles so I could not move, and she wanted me to make an official complaint, however I have written to the surgeon himself and have received a profound apology from him.i have been busy painting, getting organised for my lovely granddaughter Kate's wedding, writing on Facebook, art line and other areas of interest.
And the time just goes and ones old faithful areas get neglected. Hoping everyone is fit and well. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning both :D

Kate I have merged your Good Morning post with Ally's as it gets too confusing having two Morning threads :) It is lovely to see you, I'm so sorry your op turned into such a trauma and hope you feel better now ((((x))))

The sun is out here and it's the weekend! What's not to like? :D B is working, so it's just Mick and me today 8-) The Food Festival is on at the Quays but we won't be going, it just gets too crowded what with Mr Hollywood being the main attraction  I would go but Mick hates the crowds....  So we'll be finding somewhere else for a mooch and lunch, maybe Cheltenham or maybe just a quieter part of town ;)

I hope everyone has a good day :) xxxx

Morning all. Nice here today.

Busy day today. Our friends arrived from Liverpool last night (staying at our friends hotel) and Mick and Steve reminisced about Antarctica whilst getting very drunk. Sarah and I took it very steady.

Mick is meeting up with them at around 12 and they are walking over the tops to the pub where S works. I am dropping S off at work, taking the dog to my mums for the night and picking L's friends up for her birthday sleepover. Then driving to the pub at 2 to meet up with the others and bring them back with S at 3pm when she finishes work to drop her in the village to meet the boyfriend.

Then walking down to friends hotel for the annual BBQ, being joined by the kids at some point.

I think it might get messy!

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Gosh your day sounds very busy debih, I'm exhausted just reading it

So sorry you had such a horrid time with your operation kate, glad you're feeling better now x

We love paella Ally, I've never actually got around to cooking one though, when you have time I'd love it if you could put the recipe on the food board please. Being very lazy today, it's M&S lasagne and garlic bread with a bit of salad. Trying to keep the use of plates etc to a minimum.

There's a festival on at the harbour here too this weekend kaz, but we're too busy with packing, washing etc to go this time. Honestly it seems never ending, hopefully we can get most of what's left done today.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all, sun and cloud here, still missing the Italian heat :( We were at a 50th birthday party last night and the food was BBQ - it was really cold, which was such a shame as it was a lovely big garden and it would have been nice to be outside. However we had great fun, and got to bed rather later than is normal for us. Poor Mr Osc got up at 7am to watch the golf, but it was halted due to very strong winds and it looks like it won't resume until late afternoon so after I got up, we had breakfast and he went back to bed. Nothing planned for the day, whatever bits and pieces around the house take my fancy. Roast chicken with new potatoes and cauliflower for dinner. Have a good day everyone :)

Afternoon :)
I was about to sit here for a bit after my shower and post this morning when I realised with the lovely weather I'd have to get into town even earlier if I wanted to park, so I went out just after Bb.
Lucky I shifted as I only got a space by being lucky, letting someone else out - and that was at 10.10  :D

It was worth it, I had a lovely wander, and went right down to the quay and sat on the wall for a while. It was so funny, there were dogs being taken down the slipway for a paddle, and it was obvious it was the first time some of them had been in proper water - hugely entertaining for all of us sitting watching :D
Gosh it was busy though, I don't think there was even another spare bit of wall, never mind a seat :)

Kate it's lovely to see you, I'm so sorry about your eye op it does sound horrendous xx
Debih just as well you took it easy last night :)
Kaz the Christchurch one is always heaving too, but I do like going, so I go on my own nice and early - couldn't this year, it was before I got my car.
Saundra that's really nice having someone to do those jobs for you :)
Mmm paella, lovely :D
We had chicken curry last night, jolly nice it was too :)
Hope you're all having a good day
