Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 17 Jul 2015, 03:44

Up at 5am. :o :o

But for a good reason. :D :D

Jacob is coming home!! He's been away for 4 weeks at the Chelsea Soccer School in Madrid and has had a brilliant time according to his whatsapps.

Last time I seen him was the morning I flew to the UK. :o

So I'm going to pick him up from the bus station in an hour..can't wait to see him. Image

Usual beers and tapas this evening. :D :D :D

Have a great day everyone. x

Morning all. Damp and dreary today.

Busy day for me (busy weekend actually). Swiss Ball class this morning then I have to make a red currant tart and a chickpea, hummus and tabbouleh salad ready for a BBQ we are going to tomorrow and chocolate brownies for L's birthday sleepover tomorrow night.

We have friends coming for the weekend though fortunately they are staying at the local hotel rather than ours (I don't think they fancied sharing the house with L's friends) and as the BBQ tomorrow is at our friends who own the hotel then they are coming too.

Looking forward to catching up as it's been a couple of years since we've seen them - they're from Liverpool. It will be a very drunken weekend for Mick! Him and Steve were together in Antarctica and Antarctic reunions always involve lots of alcohol. I will mainly be sticking to tonic water tonight as I know we'll be doing it all over again tomorrow!

Morning :)
It's dry here, and brighter than it's been for the past few days, with a strong breeze so I've got towels in washing :)

Welcome back to Jacob, are you making him bacon butties? :D
I bet he's had a fab time!

Debih that is a busy weekend, it's all happening at once! I remember you mentioning Steve before, that'll be nice for both him and Mick - you too of course :)

I'm going to count up our holiday stash (we literally save cash, odd fivers and things, plus Bb's change) and get some euros today, the exchange rate is so high and no telling what will happen over the next couple of months so we may as well spread it out :)
The apartment we're staying at is Portuguese-owned so they're having cash in euros for the balance when we get there ;)

Hope meriad's doing ok, and hope you all have a good day

Bacon butties?? He had a whole baguette stuffed with ham and more ham.

Luckily his laundry got done whilst he was there so only a little bit for the machine here. :D :D :D

He's in bed now, I've had a nap and am now going out for a walk. :D :D

It's lovely to have him home. :D :D :D :D :D

Morning everyone :)

Aw Ally that must be lovely, having him home again! I know how I feel when I haven't seen H for a few weeks 8-) :D

Debih an epic weekend on the cards then, hope you all have a brilliant reunion 8-) :D

Hoping Ria is getting a good rest, and is feeling ok xxxxx

Di we will take euros when we go to Corfu, smallish denomonation notes, but won't need a lot as it's all-inclusive. Greece is still ok though for tourists, even the limits at the ATMs don't apply to foreigners, but yet again the BBC are spreading panic, a presenter on there this morning talking about holidays said don't go to Greece! I complained on their FB page, I think Greece has enough problems without the Beeb sticking the boot in! :( It's breezy here too but spitting rain - think I will risk washing though, it will probably dry up later!

Ton my mum used to cut my dad's hair and always made a brill job of it :D Does Grumpy leave a tip? :D

Have a good day everyone :) xx
