Shocking news

Postby debih » 16 Jul 2015, 20:48

S and L both had an assembly today, backed up by a letter home, to tell them that a girl in year 12 had died unexpectedly on Tuesday.

Nothing was said as to how she died and S, who was pretty friendly with her said that she thought it must be a medical reason as she was a really happy sociable girl.

Mick has just come home after speaking to the dad of one of the girls close friends and it looks as though she hung herself.

17 years old, incredibly bright and popular.

What a waste.

Bluddy hell Debih

This is becoming so common now - but such a shock for the family.

Hugs to the girls, it's a nasty thing for them to cope with xx

It's awful isn't it (if it's true of course - jungle drums, etc).

It does seem to be a trend at the moment. She will be the third person in our area in 6 months - a lad of 22, a lad (the son of one of our tenants at work) aged 15 and then this girl.

Awful.

It appears that it is true and was premeditated (though not known beforehand by friends - only when putting conversations together retrospectively).

Just been speaking to my best friend who's daughter (my god daughter) was close friends with her.

Shocking and so sad.

Oh good grief Debih that's just dreadful :(

The poor parents...I honestly don't think these kids realise that it's so final, that they can't come back tomorrow and decide against it after all :(

I agree Di.

I think so many times it's a cry for help that went wrong.
