As we say over here

Got is arxe about backwards this morning, but no worries. Had my eye checked over by the doc, then off to the walking surgery (I kid you not  ) saw the nurse there who asked loads of questions, as they do, blood pressure checked (perfect ;) ) , gave me some shower gel to use the evening before the op and the morning of the op

But they're doing my eye

No food or liquid after 7.00 in the morning - so I'll be up early to have some breakfast  - and the op is for 3.00 Wednesday afternoon. This Wednesday afternoon, so good to get it over and done with quickly.

 Yep it's funny, but then I suppose there is no point having operating theatres and instruments germ-free if the patients aren't.... :?  Not meaning you personally Ton, just in general :P

Great they are getting you sorted out so quickly! 8-) :) xx

Glad you don't have to wait for your op Ton (((((((Ton)))))). As for the special gel, just get grumpy to hose you down in the back yard and give you a scrub with the yard brush :D

Shall be with you in spirit at 3 on Wednesday, Ton and hope all goes well. On the shower gel, perhaps he just wanted you perfume free? xx

nnnnoooooooooo tooo cold now - was okay when I first came home with broken leg

I won't bore you all with all the other palaver that went on  but a Portuguese nurse and I shared raised eye-brows when an English "lady" got the hump about asked to wait  You do not, repeat do not, push in. The Portuguese will do so, but you do not.

Be polite, ask and then you (I) get brill service.

Wait and be patient -they will sort you out - do not get the hump, do not say "this is ridiculous, I've been here half an hour" and get in a strop  stomp off, see the receptionist (who all of a sudden, forgot she knew English) and demand NOW to see some-one, my appointment was 30 minutes ago. (she actually was before me and was still sat waiting as we went out ;) )

Be nice, ask, try to speak the language, be polite, you will get sorted, promise xx
