...... with central locking always point their key at the car to lock/unlock it?



I bet most of you do too.

I do and now that I think about it I have no idea why

I see people struggling with their trolley or pushchair or bags or umbrellas while trying desperately to "shoot" their car with the key.

Well what else would you do?

I have a foldable key anyway, no prong sticking out.

You don't even need to get it out of your pocket Rodo let alone forage in your bag, get it out and point it at your car.

I presume in the early days you had to point and shoot, but my courtesy car, unlocked itself as you walked towards it, as long as the credit card key was on your person or in your bag

Mine does that and then I just have to touch a patterned bit on the doorhandle to lock it again.

If you point your key at your head it opens the car even when you are miles from it!!!
I tried it with my old car when I was in Ikea in Edinburgh. I could see it at the other end of the car park from the restaurant and I tried to check that it was locked but the key wouldn't work so I held it to my head and pressed the button and it worked, the yellow lights flashed on the car!!
