  No roasting chickens here, it's sunny but a bit fresher - the best kind of English summer's day :D :) :)

Morning Ally, I did my delicate dusting yesterday :D

Morning all :) Well either my hay fever has quadrupled with a vengeance, or I have a cold brewing :? I want to go to WW - Chris wants me helping out, to support my application as Leader - so as I don't want to 'throw a sickie' I'm choosing to believe it's hay fever, and will dose myself up with antihistamines and go ;)

Have a good Monday everyone, I hope Osc's holiday is going well :) 8-) xxxxx

Morning :)
Lovely here but yes fresher too, forecast is for about 21 so perfect :)

Fingers crossed for the hayfever Kaz x
Not sure what we're doing today, I've been up ages but seem to be on a go-slow :D

Thanks to the mess of Bb's work boxes he has no job to go out on today. We might go to the other garden centre; yesterday we went to the big nursery just up the road and got a few plants so I do now have three pots done - better a bit late than never :D
I need a new shrub for the front, one has died and I can't even remember what it was  It's a tricky spot, under the big bay window so it's very dry, plus it gets full sun all afternoon, so I'll have to have a think.
Hope you all have a good day
x

God morning all.

It's fresher here this morning, with rain forecast for later.

We are off shopping soon, then I expect we will be watching the tennis.

Have a nice day.

Morning all

Kaz, hope it is just hayfever but maybe double up on the Vit C just in case? Or get yourself a bottle of night nurse for tonight and knock it on the head before it starts should it be a cold ;-)
Di, what about either a hebe or potentilla; they're both quite OK with dry sunny spots.
Good luck with the decorating Cruiser; hope it stays dry for you

Ally & Ton, enjoy the sunshine - it's rather overcast here :(

Usual work day for me; the big boys are all out so hopefully it'll be a nice quiet one. Had a super busy week and weekend last week so now looking forward to a much much quieter week.

have a lovely day all x

Funny you happened along meriad, I almost asked in my post whether you had any ideas :D

I had a lovely hebe out there which didn't like it at all; it got really, really leggy; long wavy branches and few flowers. Cutting it right back didn't help, so I moved it to the back garden where it's now looking lovely after a couple of years.
There is a potentilla out there too, which survives although not brilliantly :?
The hydrangea, which was a bargain, has done really well but I don't particularly want another one - I don't even like them that much lol, but knew they do well here as most gardens have them :D
Have a feeling the dead one might have been a different hebe too...the lesson is to not spend much as it's not likely to survive!
I might wait till Saturday and go see the shrub man at the market, he knows what he's talking about and is good value :)

Morning all.

Work for me until 12pm then home for lunch before I head to the allotment for a few hours (weather permitting as rain is forecast). Then collect L from school, drop her at my mums where I'm picking S up (she's on her work experience at the old people's home this week -the one she really didn't want to do) to take her riding whilst I go for a run.

Chill out this evening I think.
