Morning Saundra, morning all. :D

It's lovely and sunny here in Nottingham. 8-) :D :D

On the train yesterday from Brum to here I was in the carriage with 22 ladies on a hen do - I had such a laugh with them they ended up asking if I'd like to meet them later on in Nottingham city centre. I declined.

Craig, Lani and myself had a riotous time playing dominoes and Scrabble...they are such good company. :D :D :D :D

Today we're going into town for a mooch and some lunch then early evening Jean-Pierre & Marta (Lani's brother and g/f) are coming over for a bbq and a game(s) of poker. :D :D :D :D
Really looking forward to seeing them again as we had a blast with them back in March. :D :D

Have a great day everyone and hope Debs is suitable chilled after her spa day. :D :D

Morning :)
Another beautiful day here, gosh it makes such a difference :)
Spain is kindly pushing its hot stuff our way next week so a heatwave is promised (or threatened depending on your viewpoint) ;)

We had a lovely steak dinner last night, which we were going to have last week for various celebrations but I didn't feel like it. Rib-eye from Morrisons, highly recommended :)
Enjoy your visitors and your garden Saundra :)
Ally that certainly made it a good journey :)
Hope Ton and Grumpy have had a good trip :)

Yesterday's parcel is now meant to be coming today, before 10 :?
This system usually works just fine, but when it gets skewed it really c*cks everything up!
It means I can't go out as Andy's coming to service the boiler 'late morning', which to Andy could mean anytime after 10 :D
Have a good day all
x

Morning all, we were woken by the window cleaner doing our windows at 7.10am  and I didn't get back to sleep. It's a nice morning. My back has eased and staying in last night meant I got to do my holiday pedicure, another job off the list :D Mr Osc is going out in a little while to play golf with SIL and Michael, and we are heading off into town later to meet up with friends for something to eat. I suppose I had better show some interest in the ironing I ignored yesterday  Have a good day everyone :)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Just been reading the news. The Riu Imperial Marhaba is the hotel we stayed in on our last holiday to Tunisia, it's the very last place I would have expected something so dreadful to happen. Sousse itself isn't very nice but Port el Kantaoui where the hotel is has always been considered very safe. It does makes you wonder if anywhere is truly safe these days :(

No plans for today, just the usual washing.

Hope you all have a good day :D

It's so sad, Jen, we always stayed in the Marhaba Palace near the port, but walked down the beach past those hotels many times during the 10 or 11 holidays we had there. The country is so dependent on its tourist business, and I guess that has been wiped out now :(

Yes it is very sad Osc, this is going to cause a lot of hardship. Such a shame, it's always the ordinary people who suffer. We stayed at the Marhaba Palace our first visit, a great recommendation from you.

I remember  I recommended it to quite a few people, including Alialiooo from Femail who returned there a lot too. I think the last time we were there was 2008.
