Morning :)
Dull here too, not raining yet but think we're unlikely to avoid it.
Yesterday was another really lovely one.

We had such a good time last night, with the boys :)
It was our anniversary too (we use the date we met), so since he was driving anyway eldest drove us all into town so we could both have a drink.
I'm blaming the glass of Prosecco before the wine for feeling so dopey this morning ;) :D

Eldest is of course off now for the summer but is straight back to Brighton on Wednesday as he has a teaching job for more or less the whole holidays.
Quite a coup I think; these are American students who are studying eg medicine and are here to learn the basics of physics.
He's been doing some teaching anyway, to 6th form students, to earn some money, so had a bit of a head start with being suitable.
He's already just done a couple of days training, then will be doing Mon-Thurs, from 9-4 I think, so £10 an hour (I guess 6 hours a day) for several weeks is quite a good deal.

Youngest is nothing like him, he now has to go back to school for the remaining science lessons till the end of term, after leaving and doing his GCSEs as he's been told he and another 2 or 3 haven't after all done enough science coursework  I'm sure he must have a talent for something, we just haven't dug deep enough yet ;)
He is already accepted for the college, it's a course whereby they get more lessons in subjects they fail at Gcse (especially if it's maths or English), and can do re-sits, but also do other things like catering...he was a bit vague :)

Bb's not working, but as we're both dopey not sure what we're doing...
Have a good day all
x

Morning Di :)

Wow, good for eldest, that sounds impressive 8-) Do they not teach physics in the States? Their loss is eldest's gain though :D  Youngest will find his 'thing' sooner or later :D Amazing how kids from the same 'stable' can be so different, all three of mine are totally different in their personalities and talents

I'd blame the Prosecco too ;) :D

Oh yes they do, but apparently not quite the same.
And this is a 'summer school' deal, at the university, specifically geared for them, so they're using the uni accommodation and everything, it probably ends up costing no more for them than paying for the same thing over there, plus they get to live here for a few weeks :)

It is impressive, isn't it? He's always earned money and seems to have a good balance between working hard and enjoying himself - he's off to the summer solstice today :)
He's not looking forward to having to get up for 9 o'clock starts but agrees it's good discipline, and he will have long weekends so can still come home sometimes if he wants.

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny here and E, who's just got back with the papers, says it's warm too :D

Well done to eldest Di, he certainly seems to know what he wants and is prepared to work to get it. As for the youngest, as Kaz says he'll sort himself out in time.

Nothing much happening here today, just the usual washing on the go and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day :D

I'm sure he will Jen, when he finds something that 'grabs' him, or just that he can earn a living at!
It's a bit much isn't it, the expectation now that kids will know what they want to do at such a young age, he's not 16 till Thursday ;) :)
