I mentioned meeting them a month or so ago - "met" through a Portugal forum we go on sometimes - mostly idiots but arranged to meet Hazel and Dave.

Got on really well, time flew by, exchanged fb thingies, Hazel and I chatted a few time, not much.

We met them again today, for only the second time, and it really was as if we'd been friends for years

Isn't it odd? Yes, we're all the same sort of age, they're from the sarf east and we're from the sarf west (or norf west, in my case) but we talked, and laughed, just about solidly, for 4 hours

Dave doesn't say a lot, but he and Grumpy were quite happy, chatting together sometimes and mostly letting Hazel and me talk.

But we're meeting them again on Monday morning, just for a coffee, in Tavira.

We've all said, it's weird, how we all get on so well, just after a few hours.

This interwebby thingy sometimes is good, in'it???

But we've said, next time they come over, if we're here, which we probably will be then we'll all go up to show them the Alentejo for a day or so. In nearly 10 years, never been anywhere bar Tavira and now Fuzeta

They have an apartment in Tavira Di - putting it on the market as they want one with a pool now, or shared pool, as they now have a grandson

Oh right - we wouldn't want to ask if we could rent that one then, we'd want a pool too
