But Mick was involved this time too.

We went to Padstow today and whilst the girls went tat shopping we wandered around galleries.

We had already agreed to buy some art work to remind us of our Cornish holidays but what we bought in the end wasn't quite what we had in mind.

But we both fell in love with this.

Not from this shop - it's just the first link that came up on google.

Not everyone's cup of tea I know but we like that it's quite controversial. And definitely a talking point. What we think art should be.

We collect it on Thursday.

We also liked this

But settled on Audrey. I might save up for the lighthouse one for Mick for xmas (I know he preferred that one really)

We still need a Cornish scene but we've decided something nice and bright but smaller (Audrey is big) to go in the bathroom. We are thinking about Cornwall in Feb/March - just the two of us so will perhaps look then (unless everywhere is closed!)

Me neither, well definitely not the Audrey one, much as I think she is beautiful.

Art is very personal.

Deb, everywhere will be shut in Jan, I can promise you that

Debih,
When you mentioned Audrey, I thought you were talking about my wife as that is her name.
You have made a good choice.

I love Marmite style art - either love it or hate it.

I like it to make a statement and a talking point though I buy it because I like it, not for a reaction - if that makes sense.

I can't wait to get her home and hang her!

We know exactly where she is going - we always do when we buy.

She is the most expensive piece we have bought - £200 I'd usually our limit.
