Good morning Saturday

Postby debih » 23 May 2015, 05:50

Good morning all.

As is usual for the first day of holibobs I am up at stupid o'clock after having a rubbish nights sleep. It'll take me until at least Wednesday to settle! My back is twinging for the first time in weeks cos the mattress is really soft and quite lumpy. Grrr. When can't holiday let owners invest in decent mattresses.

It is very damp and misty again - still can't see over the road.

Not too sure of our plans today. We fancied going to Port Issac or get the ferry from Rock to Padstow in the hope that Saturday is change over day for lots of people so it might not be too busy. But I don't know if it will too much for L as she is still on crutches and her hands hurt if she is on them for too long.

It has forecast sun later so hopefully we will get on the beach later today - although I'm not sure if L will manage any body boarding as her foot hurts too much without the boot.

Good morning Debih, morning all. :D

I hope things improve Debs and you all have a much deserved lovely holiday. ((((Debih))))

Tis gorgeous here. 8-) 8-)

No need for a run this morning as was dancing rather energetically at our kitchen disco till 3am.

Looking forward to Saturday Kitchen - not having seen the lovely Mr Martin for a couple of weeks I am ready with my notepad and pencil to jot down any recipes. ;) ;)

Going into town 5ish as I spotted some flowery bumper boots yesterday that I need to buy  then it's off to Paco's to watch the footy derby between Malaga & Seville - Conor's at the game so we might spot him in the crowd. :D :D :D

A few beers and a takeaway is the plan. :D

Have a great day everyone. x

Oooo - things are looking up.

I can just make out the field across the road.

Maybe the fog will lift today.

Morning everyone :)

It's sunny here :D 8-) :D The Tall Ships festival is on at the Docks but a) We've been to it lots of times b) It will be heaving due to the weather and c) They are charging tickets to get anywhere near the place, including barriers outside our favourite café    So I don't think we'll be going down there, Mick really doesn't like crowds.....So we might go into town instead, or else wander off somewhere else. Will probably nip to see D afterwards, and when the sun is out sitting in her garden is lovely, so we'll probably do that for an hour or two. Must remember to pit some sun cream on, I burned siting out there last Saturday.

Debih I hope you all enjoy Cornwall and that L being injured won't spoil it too much (((((((((((((x)))))))))))))

Ally that all sounds great, especially the boots - enjoy!!! :D :D

Ton that will be us tomorrow - food shopping then maybe the barbecue if the weather is up to it ;)

Have a good day everyone :)

This is D's garden so you can see why it's a nice space to sit in - she works hard in it, although we use the greenhouse

D's garden is lovely Kaz - very English looking iyswim.

This might sound daft - I adore our garden with its exotic flowers and fruit trees but whenever I go back to the UK I'm always struck by the 'richness' of the trees and greenery of the UK. :D :D :D

Oooh glad you got your delivery sorted Saundra, the dates are a bit odd this year so it was an easy mistake to make ;)

Thanks Ton, she has a lawn man who scarifies and treats and has just taken on someone to do the donkey work ie digging but then she is almost 80 ;) :)

I always feel happy and peaceful sitting in it 8-)

Not daft at all Ally, I love the colourful gardens when we go abroad but an English garden is quite unique 8-) ;)

Morning all :)
Beautiful here too - and warm at last, I have my crops on :D
Was up and at it early, just having a coffee while waiting for a bit of washing to finish, couldn't bear to waste such a good drying day ;)

Glad you got your delivery sorted Saundra and glad you found out yesterday (((x)))
Debih funnily enough some of us were talking about iffy beds elsewhere yesterday, several said they now take a mattress topper with them, or just a spare duvet to put under the bottom sheet or mattress. It is a worry when you have a bad back as it can make such a difference x

Kaz that's the trouble when too many people want to go I guess the only answer is to start charging. The air show at Bournemouth say they never will, but there are over 7 miles of seafront to watch from :) If we want to go anywhere at times like that we tend to just look at where there is in the opposite direction :D
D's garden's so lovely though, no need is there :)
Ally flowery boots sound good :)

Bb's off working, hopefully just till early afternoon. Obviously being a bank holiday weekend I won't be going far either, and actually will have to go the minute I've hung the washing out if I want to get parked to go to the market...and then might be pushing it. Oh well, I'll decide in the next few minutes :)
Himself's going to stop at W/rose on his way home to pick up pizza for tonight so I don't need to go...maybe some gardening instead.
Hope you all have a good day
x
