I hope nobody gets hurt, and am glad it's miles away. Things must be very dry then? :?

VERY dry Kaz--,we have had about 2 days of serious rain since last Oct -down here in the south ,north coast has had quite a lot ,thankfully or else we would be struggling for water.

the Govt say says they expect this to be a bad one for fires, again apart from odd showers we shan't expect any serious rain til Oct/Nov

We've already had a few fires, near Monchique and Odemira.

As with Vic, we've had a very very dry winter - which was lovely for us, not so good for the farmers, resevoirs.

And you will always get some prat who thinks it "fun" to light a fire and watch it.
