Morning everyone :) Enjoy your sunshine you two 8-)

Not much planned, besides a bit of hoovering etc and a walk later - the forecast is too dodgy for washing but luckily I got lots done at the weekend whilst it was dry ;)

Thoughts and hugs for those who might need them ((((x))))

Have a good day :) xxx

Morning all.

All was calm in the debih household this morning. Mick was working locally so we all had breakfast together. S was quite chirpy for a morning (she's like me - not a morning person at all) and as she had no gadgets to fiddle about with this morning was down bright and early for school. With no hoodie on.

We talked about the hoodie thing yesterday - I explained that I don't know why it bugs me so much that she wears a hoodie for school, probably because school are so strict on uniform (they both bought letters home yesterday reminding parents and pupils of how long the skirts should be and what sort of shoes they should be wearing) but then turn a blind eye to all these Yr 10 and Yr 11 kids in their grubby hoodies. I explained that my problem wasn't actually with HER wearing the hoodie but that school had double standards. I also stressed that I didn't want to see her wearing the hoodie for school and said that there were always ways around things before I commented that she had quite a large school back pack! I think she got my drift as the backpack seemed rather more stuffed than usual! Compromise is the key!!

Busy at work today. I hardly got anything done yesterday so I have loads to catch up on as well as the stuff I had already allocated for this morning. Though I'm waiting for a phone call from our area manager with a decision about our works 25th anniversary do (currently taking place on 9th June but with far too many people we invited unable to attend as they are on holiday) to see if we are postponing it until later in the year. My list of jobs will then change from prep for the do to letting people know about the change of date!

Need to think about packing for Cornwall tonight - we go on Friday and I'm out tomorrow and Thursday night!
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!

We have friends visiting us from Newry for the day (free travel pensioners like us ;) ) so we are up early getting organised. Debih, well done on how you have dealt with your day from hell yesterday xxx Have a good day everyone :)

morning all its april showers here yes i know its may
winter cardie back on
debih the high school here are all in the news a total skirt ban from september
the girls have to wear trousers brought from a shop that sells the uniforms with the school logo on
its really stupid
if a pupil is wearing a short skirt send her home till its rectified
grandaughters school in withernsea (high school)
brought in last year no skirts
now its probably ok for pupils who are very thin  but im sure bigger pupils must be embarrased

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny, but very windy, not sure what the forecast is.

We're off into the village later, need to pick up a prescription and get a few other bits and bobs. Think we might go out for a late lunch/early dinner this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day :D
