:D :D :D :D

My "old" glasses frame was never a good fit and the bottom part of the frame was getting very rough (cheap rubbish  ) so we headed back to the opticians and I now have the same frame, but in brown and they fit perfectly :D :D :D :D Cost me 30 euros and I got 7.50 discount at the local supermarket too 8-)

That young lady in the opticians is such a lovely, helpful young girl, think I might have to write in and compliment her to her bosses.

Also bought 3 t-shirts for me, 2 for himself in C & A and 18 books in the charity shop for 2.80 :D :D

Didn't get the door screen I wanted - I'm not paying almost 30 euros for one, just have to keep to door shut and the flies and mozzies out.

But I also have two very sore heels, from my new shoes    I'll stick to flip-flops from now on

That's a good result - yay

Re the door screen, do you get these extending / spring loaded curtain rails over your neck of the woods? If yes - depending on your sewing skills (and it wouldn't need much) you could get one of those to fit the door frame, buy a piece of pretty light airy fabric that's long enough to cover the entire door and then add some heavy beads into a bottom hem to keep it from blowing about to much?

Not sure how cost effective that would be though compared to an already made screen?

I was going to suggest something similar but using curtain netting - maybe two overlapping drapes where they meet in the middle.
