It'd be rude not to...

Okay, let's go back to the late 70s when a little girl still in junior school wanted to be Debbie Harry. She wanted the clothes, she wanted the hairstyle, she wanted the hair colour...but she wasn't allowed. That little girl idolised Blondie.

Fast forward to 2013 and Blondie are coming to within walking distance of this now 43 year old's house to play a concert in June. Ohhhhh yes...I have tickets!!! :D :D

They're playing on Cannock Chase as part of the Forest Tour. Every Summer the Forestry Commission hold concerts in their various forests around the country over two nights. Tom and I went a few years ago and saw The Feeling and it really was lovely (apart from the incessant rain and ankle deep mud). This year we get Paloma Faith one night and Blondie the next. John's been saying ever since it was announced that we should go to see Blondie so I've finally got around to booking, can't have Debbie Harry coming here and not go to see her.
They can be a surprise for John's birthday.

Now I'd better put my debit card away, I've also booked Frank Turner tickets this morning

Oh fantastic!!!!! I love a bit of Blondie 8-) :D :D She did a concert at Westonburt Arboretum last summer but by the time I noticed ( ) they were sold out. If she comes again Mick and I will go I think - remind us of our youth! 8-)

I'll bet you and John will have a fab time! :D :D 8-) 8-)

Ahhh Debbie, the object of desire for men of a certain age. ;)

She did an "unplugged" session on BBC 301 last year and she can still bang 'em out same as before, and she still looks soooo good. 8-)
