Morning Ally, I hear it is super-extra-hot in Spain at the moment so less yomping and more drinking and shopping sounds the thing to me 8-) ;) Thinking about Ton too, and hoping she has a much better day today (((((((((((((((x)))))))))))))))

Morning all :) The sun is out here, it looks glorious!!!! :D :D Mick is off to Swindon for a meeting, he's taking the train as the BT offices are very close indeed to the station ;) Becks is working this evening, but asked me to go shopping with her today, so if I must, I must :P ;)  First I'm going to strip the bed and get the bedding washed and out on the line, as the weather has been a bit too dodgy all week to get it properly aired. Looking forward to a sunny (hopefully) weekend

TGIF, have a lovely day everyone :D xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Morning everyone

Feels a little cooler this morning, which is good.

We're off down to the village after breakfast -Grumpy insists on driving  - to get some gorgeous cake(s), which I'll take to the clinic, along with a little card, as a thank you :D

Then shopping.

And for dinner tonight, I'm doing Favas a Portuguesa :D although I'm tweaking it a little as I'm not a huge lover of the chorizo over here.

Thank you all for worrying about me, I'm fine today, honest :D 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Slight change of plan

Tom will be here about 11.15, to collect the car. So that's another couple of hours, chatting 8-) the shopping will have to wait, I don't want to rush around today ;)

Bente is not well, so it'll be next week, probably, before she comes over - that's a relief

Morning all, fairly dreary out there although dry, but I am sure it will rain later  I have to do the supermarket shop, and we may go to the Ford place if Mr Osc is home from golf in time - we are very very close to agreeing on the Ford Fiesta, a new car is always exciting!! Incidentally, Di, how are you getting on with Mr Yeti? Hope Ton is feeling much better after yesterday's scare. Have a good day everyone :)

Morning all :D

Glad you're feeling a bit better Ton, sensible to take it easy for a day or two xxx

We had a letter from our solicitor saying she's received notification of our purchase from the agent so need to pop a cheque in while we're in the village so she can get the searches started as soon she gets the necessary paperwork from the vendors solicitor. Hopefully things will progress this time round.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all :)
It started off quite bright but clouded over just before my nice load of white washing was finished :D It's not supposed to rain...

Ooh, the tree surgeons have arrived, hang on, must take a pic>>>>>>>>>>>ok did that :)
The house nearly opposite has a huge tree in the front garden - a piney thing, not attractive, that odd darkish grey-green. Blocks all their light, makes a mess of the lawn, no redeeming features at all. Not even the birds like it, no nests.

Trouble is, they rent, and the landlord has spent 3 years saying no to having it taken down. But a root started pushing the paving up at the side - so the guy told the landlord that the lady next door had tripped ;) Actually she did say to him that she might trip, in the dark - good enough :D
So he arranged the surgeon sharpish :D

Right, back to today.
Enjoy your shopping Kaz and Ally :)
Ton yes do take it easy - shame about Bente ;) I love broad beans, can you post the recipe pretty please? x
Osc have fun car-choosing, presumably you've decided on the colour :D I actually asked whether one colour would come sooner than another; Ford garages of course often have them in stock so not such a problem.

I'm loving Mr Yeti thank you :D
Getting used to the automaticky bits (like having your foot on the brake before you can put it into gear) - and I went into town yesterday, then filled it with petrol (it had a quarter-tank in).
My neck's really stiff today (nothing to do with the driving) and I can't take ibuprofen till I've eaten so if I go out in it, it will be later today. Before that I'll probably walk up into the village to drop in my prescription which may help the stiffness.

It's wonderful getting used to the idea that I can now go where I like, when I like, just need to be sure I don't overdo it.
My cousin and I are already halfway into a plan for her to come down for the day on the train (spotted another SW trains half-term offer). She doesn't know yet but I want to take her to Beaulieu to re-create a photo I have of the two of us standing on the green in front of the pond aged about 7/8 :D
Have a good day all
