by ambulance earlier
Flashing lights, siren, horn, the lot
For some weird reason, I started having massive and very fast palpitations about 12.00. Had them before, long time ago, was expecting them to calm down, pulse was banging away too.
Then I started going a bit dizzy, so sat down for half an hour, taking deep breaths and it eased.
Then came back with a vengeance.
So being a true English idiot, waited until 2.00 and then went over to the clinic.
Cue the doctor and Felipe getting mad at me for leaving it so long, an ambulance was rung, Grumpy was told to go home and stay there, I would contact him. Put a drip in me and off I went.
Faro Hospital is the best. I was through triage so fast, the young lad had to run after us to get the wrist name on me and he also told me, in perfect English, to feel better soon They explained what they were going to do, in English, took blood, did an ecg and also put in quite a bit of something or other, to calm the heartbeat down. Twice
Then another ecg, and I was taken off to a huge ward for a few hours. Another ecg and then at 7.00 was told I can go home.
My bag and clothes were returned, but all valuables, keys, phone, money and cards, were put in a safe, so had to wait for that.
The cardiology department should be in touch within a week and I'll go and see the specialist there.
We have no idea why this happened, but it may be linked to me using ventolin, becuase my chest was bad.
I feel fine, now, but dear me, that was scary
