I enjoyed today

For the first time in a couple of days, it was our normal glorious January
So we had a lie-in whilst Grumpy finished his book, showered, brekkie and off we went.
Lidl's first and bought loads - goats cheese, soya milk, loo rolls Discussed with the gypsy why I wasn't going to give her money , then went into Olhao to get car taxed. I know it can be done on line, but I don't have a printer - so apart from Grumpy and I having a "discussion" as to which was the quickest way to finances, (he will insist on parking blummin miles from where we want to be ) we got there to find they'd changed the system again So muggins reads all the options (I settled on "e" for payments) and I kid you not, 3 minutes later, I was paying 54.76 cents for the years car tax. Out in 7 minutes unheard of It's gone up 70 cents - dreadful
Off to Aldi - they've changed the lay-out, so was trying to find my way around Grumpy seemed happy enough
Then we stopped at a huge Chinese shop (I don't know if Ally has them over in Spain, we have loads over here and they are really good value - well, some of them) This was brill - I got a couple of things I'd been on the look out for, Grumpy bought some paint brushes (last of the big spenders - at 50 cents each), then onto another cheapo shop where I found something else I was looking for - kitchen stuff, I was after a simple zester
Back home, the sun was out, put a few beers in the freezer, did the prep for dinner, sat out in the sun with the cold beer and have just had prawns, chicken, chorizo, spicy sausage and mushrooms on my hot stones, with salad, sweet potato and normal one's, ala Jamie (won't be doing them the way he said again, but will try something different) red cabbage and a very large glass of local red.
Rubbery - really rubbery, as Grumps would say - when he's happy
