My friend has just been round and I didn't realise she was brought up in Canterbury. I was chatting to her about where to stay and her recommendation was Sandwich. Any thoughts?

Sandwich is very nice, Shell--it is small and pretty :D
The River runs through the town and there are a lot
of restaurants.
It is quite "posh" and therefore a bit expensive.
I like going there for a day.
I would think it would suit you as i would`nt think
there is much night life.
Very easy journey to Canterbury and all the Kent coastal
towns.
lissie :D :D :D

I prefer egg and cress myself Kaz :D

Thanks Lissie. I have had a look on Owners Direct and there are only three properties in Sandwich, whereas I have found a lovely one in Whitstable, so Whitstable is still my fave destination. But I will look at that website you mentioned and see what that has to offer

We just stayed at the Premier Inn at Herne Bay. It is better than the one in Whitstable.

We stayed two nights at one near Colchester and it cost double for the Saturday night than for the Friday night!
