The saga of the hatch for our terrace trundles on. Having purchased a hatch and specifying we needed a switch outside and inside (so that makes two switches, right?) and paying extra for the second switch, and two switches came with the hatch when it finally arrived, all of a sudden it seemed we need a distributor box because there is more than one switch and surprise, surprise, more money So the box is ordered - first of all, delivery is attempted to the young builder's house but there is nobody home. Company rep contacted and told to deliver it here (they did the same thing with the hatch itself). Eventually the box arrives at young builder's house and is not compatible with the equipment we already have. In the meantime, another box is dispatched to this address, UPS tried to deliver it yesterday while we were out and left it in the pub next door - but they put the wrong name of the pub on the note, in terrible writing, so it took ages to decipher. Guess what? Wrong box again, and this one is grubby, looks as it was pulled out of the back of a cupboard somewhere, so not even new.
Not sure what happens next, I suppose the electrician needs to have a look and see if there is some way to jiggle them around to make the box work. I cannot believe the behaviour of this company, they delayed the work on the build for almost a month, at one stage saying the hatch would be delivered on a day when the rep knew it hadn't even left England.
