My dad and the dog!

Well, my dad has had his op. Not really sure how it went as I haven't had chance to speak properly to my mum. I don't suppose they will really know until tomorrow when the dressings come off.
She rang at about 6pm to say that they would be ready to come home for about 6pm so Mick set off to fetch them. But Mick rang when he got there to say that they wouldn't let him out yet as he hadn't had a wee. They were going to give it a little while and then catheterise him but if he still didn't have a wee then he would have to stay in. Mick rang about 15 minutes ago to say that they were keeping him in but had to find a bed for him. Mum will want to stay until he is in bed and settled so I'm not sure when they will get home.
Not sure who will be collecting him tomorrow - I am around so can go if need be. I will know more later as will ring mum when she gets home.
Millie's op seemed to go well. The vet said that he would have liked to have dilated it a little more but the healing ulcers started to bleed so he wants her back to do it again on Thursday. I am hoping that is the last op. Mick picked her up at about 2pm.
She had eaten at the vets and kept it down and had another meal here which she kept down. She then had another meal and although she kept it down she was pacing a little as though she was going to be sick and was crying so it was obviously hurting her. Thats a first - she has never cried before but I am not going to read too much into it as she has stayed at the vets after the last two dilations so she may have cried there when she first ate and I bet her poor little throat is sore from having the op done. We have decided not to feed her again until tomorrow now - she isn't really all that bothered - she is very zonked out still and just wants to sleep.
I'm at work tomorrow so am hoping that the road stays clear (a couple of our neighbours have cleared it again today) so that I can nip home at lunch time to give her a feed. If not, then I will finish work at 2pm and can be home by 2.30 to start feeding her again. At the moment it needs to be little and often but on the two days I work all day (my all day is 9am to 3pm although I can finish at 2pm if need to) we will just have to do the best we can. She could go to my mums but I don't want to put extra work on her - she will have my dad to look after. One of the neighbours is happy to come in and feed her but unfortunately she is also working Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
