A lovely evening (or just a sign of getting old?)

Postby meriad » 10 Mar 2015, 09:45

I met up with a friend for dinner last night after work. We both make our way home from Waterloo station so usually meet up very close to there.

So last night we met up at 6, ordered our food and a bottle of wine - had a really good natter and catch up and then both on a train home by 8pm. Yes, it was a Monday night so definitely not the best date for a late night out anyway; but I really enjoyed last nights timing; esp as I got home at a decent hour and still had a bit of time for myself before heading to bed.

I fear I'm getting old - the younger party girl in me would have been out until at least 10.30 or so

Yep, you're defintely getting old Ria. ;) ;) ;)

The young party girl in me would only just be getting ready for a night out at 10.30pm. The older party girl in me tends to go out at around 9pm now.

meriad,
Enjoy yourself while you can. I am well past the three score years and ten and still enjoying life.
Don't drink as much as I did when I was young, except when I am cruising--roll on May.
Now usually in bed before eleven sober asa judge
